During a career that has spanned more than four decades, Merle Haggard has amassed more than 40 number one hits, including “Lonesome Fugitive,” “Branded Man,” “The Bottle Let Me Down” and his mega-hit “Okie From Muskogee,” which earned a spot on Country Music Television’s ranking of the top 100 songs in country music history. He has written hundreds of songs and released more than 65 albums.

Merle Haggard's hit single “Today I Started Loving You Again,” has been recorded by more than 400 artists and this hit, along with “Okie from Muskogee” and “Big City,” has logged over a million radio plays. Haggard has collected a shelf full of trophies, including multiple Grammy, CMA, ACM and BMI awards. He is currently on the country music charts with fellow artist Gretchen Wilson in their duet “Politically Uncorrect.”
