WALDO WALDMAN
Rob "Waldo" Waldman is founder and President of The Patriot Group, a leadership and sales consulting firm based in Atlanta, GA. A former Air Force fighter pilot, he relates his real world combat and business experience to sales and management execution of corporations nationwide. Waldo Waldman is a highly experienced combat veteran with over 2,650 flight hours and sixty-five real world combat missions, having flown both in Iraq enforcing the “No-Fly Zone” and in Yugoslavia during Operation Allied Force in 1999. Some of his military honors include five Air Medals, two Aerial Achievement Medals, and four Air Force Commendation Medals.
A professional speaker and consultant, Waldo Waldman is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy where he earned a B.S. in Human Behavior and Leadership and a minor in Spanish. Following pilot training, he was chosen as an Undergraduate Pilot Training Instructor. His passion and motivation towards teaching earned him the highly distinguished “Instructor Pilot of the Year” award for his entire base. In addition to his military obligations, Waldo Waldman continued with his educational pursuits, graduating with highest honors from an MBA program where his emphasis of study was Organizational Behavior.
Following his instructional tour, Waldo Waldman transitioned to the F-16 jet fighter. After being awarded Air to Ground “Top Gun” in his fighter transition class, he volunteered for a one-year remote tour of duty in S. Korea where he flew missions along the De-Militarized Zone (DMZ). In conjunction with his flying duties, Waldo Waldman was responsible for a multi-million dollar budget that included planning and managing long range and daily logistics, training, and scheduling for a forty-person office. Upon returning to the U.S., Waldo Waldman was assigned to Shaw Air Force Base, SC where his peers chose him “Top Flight Lead” " the pilot they would choose above others to lead them into combat. Concurrently, Waldo honed his leadership skills by managing the logistics and training operations for a 300-person organization.
Seeking a new challenge in life, Waldo Waldman left active duty and began his civilian business career as the Director of U.S. Business Development for an international high-tech aviation simulation software company. He helped create and execute the sales strategy for the entire U.S. market and was a key facilitator in the company’s first partnership. Waldo Waldman then served as Vice President of a major tax consulting firm, increasing annual sales by over fifteen percent after his first year with the company.
As President of The Patriot Group, Waldo Waldman serves as a leadership and sales consultant for corporations seeking to maximize the efficiency and productivity of their sales and management operations. Highly focused and extremely detail oriented, he has brokered relationships with many Fortune 500 companies including Honeywell, Panasonic, and Federated Department Stores. Furthermore, Waldo Waldman continues to serve his country in as an Air Force Academy Admissions Liaison Officer and as an inspirational speaker at universities and high schools nationwide.
