Actor
Aaron Jackson, who made his debut on NBC's television show California Dreams during the third season, played "Mark Winkle," Sly's (played by Michael Cade straight-laced cousin who also is a keyboardist and a lead singer for the band (titles he shares with Sam). In addition to the "California Dreams," the British-trained actor has appeared in several feature films, such as "Lorenzo's Oil," "Passed Away," and "Bob Roberts" (a personal favorite of mine), and numerous plays and musicals.
Prior to landing his role on California Dreams, Aaron Jackson did a wide range of theatrical productions, including Bye Bye Birdie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Tea and Sympathy, Torch Song Trilogy, Guys and Dolls, and the critically acclaimed Bobby Socs It To Ya, in London, England.
Other television credits include Silk Stalkings and a pilot called Impact, a talk show for teens. It touches on current youth issues as drugs, sex awareness, and typical teen problems.
Film credits include Lorenzo's Oil, Bob Roberts, Passed Away, From Venus, Children of the Corn: Fields of Terror (based on the book "Children of the Corn" by Steven King.) Aaron Jackson also finished three feature films this past summer. He has top billing in all of them. Wicked Spring is due out in September of 2001. Heaven Neighbor and Tangy Guacamole are both due out in November. Most recently Aaron Jackson has finished Captain and a remake of the 1962 Academy Award-winning film An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge. As well as starring in these last films, he has also been an associate producer on them. Upcoming projects for Aaron Jackson include Sleepwalking and Ordinary Killers.
Aaron has also done his share of commercials, including a P.S.A. on AIDS that received "The Ace Award."
In his off time he speaks to a variety of students about drugs, peer pressure, and many other topics affecting them. Aaron Jackson also works hand in hand with non-profit organizations, such as D.A.R.E, Camp Fire Boys and Girls, Make a Wish, St. Judes hospital, Special Olympics, and the Love Ride for MDA, just to name a few.
